Ingredients
  

  • 3 Nos banana (nendra pazham or ripe plantain)
  • 1 Cup maida (all purpose flour)
  • 1/4 Cup besan flour
  • 1 Tbsp rice flour
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 3 Nos cardamom (crushed)
  • 1 Tsp cumin seed
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/6 tsp (4 pinch) baking soda/cooking soda
  • Water add as required
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 1 Tbsp pulimav (optional)

Method
 

  1. in a mixing bowl, take maida, besan flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, cardamom (crushed), cumin seed, pulimav, sugar, baking soda, water (as required), and salt to taste. mix well.
  2. this mix becomes to smooth and thin. keep for 2 or 3 hours.
  3. cut the each bananas(nendra pazham) in to 3 long slice.
  4. heat oil for deep frying in a pan or kadai.
  5. take a banana (nendra pazham) slice. Dip in the thick batter and drop in to the hot oil. Fry on both sides.
  6. drain it to a paper towel
