2026 Tata Punch EV – Price revolution: BaaS model
The biggest attraction of the new Punch EV is its price. The price of the vehicle has been significantly reduced through the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme introduced by Tata.
- Starting price under BaaS: ₹6.49 lakhs (ex-showroom).
- Full price (including battery): ₹9.69 lakhs to ₹12.59 lakhs.(BaaS scheme allows you to rent the battery at a rate of around ₹2.60 per km.)
2026 Tata Punch EV – Range and Performance
The new facelift is available in two different battery packs:
- 30 kWh battery: This variant is suitable for city commuting and offers a range of 365 km (ARAI).
- 40 kWh battery: Designed for long-distance commuting, this long-range variant offers a range of 468 km (ARAI) on a single charge.
- Special: It can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in just 26 minutes (when using a fast charger).
3. Design changes
The Punch EV facelift has been given a more premium look visually.
- New face: Clean design in body color instead of the old black strip on the front.
- Lighting: New LED light bar and sharp-looking headlamps.
- Sunlight Yellow: A new ‘Sunlight Yellow’ color option is available this time, giving the Punch EV a more youthful look.
- Alloy Wheels: New 16-inch alloy wheels with a design that provides better aerodynamics.
4. High-tech interior and safety
Once inside, Tata has provided amenities similar to a luxury car:
- Screens: 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster.
- Seats: Ventilated front seats that provide comfort in hot weather.
- Safety: 6 airbags are provided as standard in all variants. In addition, a 360-degree camera, ESP, and a blind spot monitor are also included. This vehicle maintains a 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP.

Who are the other cars better for?
- Tata Tiago EV: For those who want a family car at a low price and prioritize practicality over big features.
- MG Comet EV: Suitable only for those who travel only in busy cities and have limited parking space.
